ABOUT ME

I'm Balica Francis, a High School student who has a burning desire for poetry. Poetry for me started as an assignment back at Junior High when I wrote my first poem 'determination.'

Weeks later I found myself writing more and more.

Things became intense when almost everything I see seemed a motivation to start a new story and explore. With time I found myself reading a lot of poems and trying to understand what it is the writer is seeking to communicate across and think the way he does.

As life kept on, everything about it seemed a thing to write about because the stories just never get finished – just have to find the right words.

There were a lot of times I slept on pages trying to finish some pieces.

             No matter what I choose to be in the near future (God willing) – but poetry always going to be something I will do. Think of great writers like Lade Wosornu – Whose pieces convey some kind of overwhelming emotions and motivation in me. He is a great poet, yet a great Professor of Surgery as well.

Although my ABOUT is more about poetry, I seek to explore other genres of literature in the near future (God willing).
